Friends’ Summer Film Series

The Friends’ FREE Summer Film Series Returns! These summer “Pick-Me-Ups” include a refreshingly positive and quality film, every Tuesday through September 1, at 1:00 p.m. at the Library. See the dates and descriptions of films below or pick up a flier at the Library.
TUES. AUGUST 11 at 1 p.m. Tense mystery about Federal Air Marshall played by Liam Neeson who must detect and stop a crafty killer planning to murder passengers on board a plane. Film also stars Julianne Moore.
TUES. AUGUST 18 at 1 p.m. Fascinating film based on the true story of the creator of the wild-eyed kids paintings and a landmark courtroom battle. Film stars Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz.
TUES. AUGUST 25 at 1 p.m. Eddie Redmayne won Best Actor Oscar as Stephen Hawking, one of the towering minds of modern physics. Film also won the Best Picture Oscar for its portrayal of Hawking, his relationship with his wife, and the crippling illness he transcended.
TUES. SEPT. 1 at 1 p.m. Based on a true story of a cross country coach in a small California town who transformed a team of athletes into championship contenders. Film stars Kevin Costner.

It’s great to see all the new faces who have joined the Friends of the Library. Your membership enriches the Library and the greater community by providing assistance with programs, activities and fundraising. The Friends meet the first Thursday of every month at 12:30 p.m. except for the month of July. New members are always welcome!
